The Go European story
Our story started not in a boardroom or a grand office, but in the most unexpected of places: a lively discussion among strangers on Reddit.
At Go European, we believe in the power of local craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability. We saw an opportunity to create a space where people could easily discover high-quality European alternatives, support local businesses, and connect with like-minded individuals who value authenticity and ethical consumption.
Whether you’re a consumer looking for unique products, a business owner eager to reach a wider audience, or a volunteer passionate about making a difference, Go European is the place for you.
Join us on this journey as we continue to build a stronger, more connected Europe.
Go European is a collaborative effort powered by a dynamic group of around 60 individuals.
We’ve come together to curate and share hundreds of exceptional European products and services with the world.
Each member of our team contributes unique skills, perspectives, and experiences, creating a rich tapestry of ideas and energy. From researchers and developers to marketers and community builders, we work hand in hand to build a platform that not only highlights the best of Europe but also connects conscious consumers with forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
Our strength lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to fostering a community that values quality, transparency, and ethical consumption.
Our team
Go European would not be possible without the project's dozens of incredible volunteers.

Laura Catz
Project Head and Initiator
It has been absolutely incredible to see so many people donate their free time and skills to making this project a reality. When I joined the team, it was because I felt a touch of helplessness about the state of the world. Now I feel more connected and involved than I have in a long time.

From building core features to developing innovative tools - like our automated screenshot service - he turns ideas into reality. Federico’s passion for clean, efficient code help us deliver a seamless experience for both users and contributors.
What's next?
This project has been a wild ride and we are continuously improving it. Read more about our plans below.
1New website in the making
Getting the page up quick up to speed has been a trade-off between choosing speed and efficiency and "going European", we are committed to make our website open-source and "Hosted in Europe". Our amazing dev team is working on V2 of our website.
2Go European socials
Finding new ways to spread the word and engage with the community, creating new socials and publish content that help people outside of Reddit find European alternatives as well.
3Continuously improving our browser extension
K-Robin's browser extension is a real game changer when it comes to learning about European alternatives for websites you might use everyday.
4Verifying thousands of product submissions
All the products on our website have been personally recommended by the community. Our enthusiastic team of volunteers is painstakingly going through every submission to make our database as complete and correct as possible.
5Spreading the word
We are talking to media and companies across Europe and sharing the project with friends, family, and online.
